Hi Ms White. You probably don’t remember me but I was in your sixth grade class at Roxbury Prep back when that school first opened so many years ago. I ran across your profile while scrolling through my old friend’s
page. I think about you from time to time, even though it was such a long time ago. I don’t know if you remember but you used to give us a period of time during your class to write and that writing slowly became my therapy. I’d even go as far as saying it saved my life. Writing has become my everything, from performing poetry, to teaching it, to writing films about mental health...there’s just so many different ways that it has helped me, and indirectly helped others because of the way I’ve learned to use it for social justice and teaching. I never thought I’d see you again, and it’s 16-17 years later, but since I found your page, I really wanted to say thank you for everything.
